I'm BACKKK~

My apologies for not blogging lately, things have been over the top busy as I have adjusted to my work schedule.  Yes, I started a full time job that I love, working at Cornerstone Auto Resource in Plymouth Mn.  Stop by sometime and say hey!!!

In the meantime, my kids and hubby are still awesome.  And I have been creating lots of fun things with my CM stuff.  This is the year to embrace the traditional scrapbooking for me, and I am loving it!  Here are a couple of pages I made, and have hanging around the house in my CM frames...and speaking of frames, there are a few of my brother Todd, who passed away just a few weeks ago in digital format.  I brought the frames to the funeral home and had them all around.

My love of CM products started with digital, including hosting Tecki Tuesdays each week where you can come and learn for free.  But it has moved into a  lot more as I have been invited by hosts gathering friends and family to learn digital as well.  Invite me to your place, whether a church or home.  I will be happy to teach you what I have learned, and share my resources:)

Photos are still my love, and although I am on the hunt for a new camera and am working only with my cell camera right now I am STILL taking tons of photos.  If you get a chance to visit my Facebook pages, whether personal or business   I have lots of fun photos including my smilies album.  I love to capture those smilies wherever I go, and I have even had friends send me their smilies.  Happy faces found in everyday life!!!  Here are a couple of examples...

Do you see the smiles?  Its funny how when you start to look for things, they are all around you.  I encourage you to look for the smiles all around YOU!!!  And send me your photos too.  I would love to share them.

2011 Christmas card

2011 has been a good year for the Brissebunch.  Next year is expected to top the charts!  Our Christmas blessings come to you by way of my digital card this year.  Enjoy!

We started out with this fun and easy 4 x 8 flat photo card...and transformed it right into a 5x7 folded card, complete with lime green envies.  Now that should stick out in the mailbox!

Cyber Monday Creative Memories blessings

Sooo...the house is trashed and the feast was devoured.  The Thanksgiving weekend is over, and what do we do now?

Ok, shop but the one thing that sticks out in my mind is to remember the blessings that we are celebrating in our lives.

 

Shop...yes shop!  But while you are thinking of those friends and family members that are blessings to you, think about what a difference you can make in their lives.  If you were to express yourself to those very important people, what would you want them to know?  How can YOU be a blessing to them?

 

1.  Tell them - write notes, cards, storybooks.

 

2.  Show them - create photo panels, everyday displays and albums.

 

3.  Brag about them to others - share the memories with others all around!

 

If you have not finished your shopping yet ( who does that before Dec 1?) then make your list, check it twice and give those you love the blessings of CM!  Seriously, heartfelt gifts are the best afterall:)

Thanksgiving is in the air

Good morning!  Today I am feeling so very blessed and wanted to know if you are too.  Sharing blessings with others helps us to recognize all that we have.  Remember, it is about wanting what you have!

Today I am sharing a blessing...ADAM!  Our youngest son, he just turned 15 in October and I am so grateful for him. Adam is sweet, quiet and a serious thinker.  Looking back on these photos really makes my heart smile.  I am SO glad I took them , as he grew up so fast.

Today was awesome!  The first day of school is "mama does the happy dance" day around here.  First , the kids are back on a good routine...as the end of summer can get boring in Dayton MN.  The best part though?  I get to use my computer for the entire day!  Ok, I was not online all day but I could have been.

This page kicked off the celebration as our annual pics of the kids on the first day out on our front steps is a tradition.  This is the year we are moving to a smaller amount of kiddies though.  First, Maia went, then Sara and Mike...followed by Adam and Maddie.  Now its just the two of them.  Adam and Maddie did the awful deed of smiling as  they could, since it was a bit early.  They are growing up so FAST!

Getting back to the page, my friend asked how I did this so fast today?  My answer...pre-designed pages.  It is the way I get results fast.  Kind of like baking fresh cookies but using the cookie dough that is all mixed up for you.  Do you like that idea?  Me too!!!  Take a look here to see what I am talking about ok?

She was just a little girl

The time has gone by too quickly, and now my baby girl Sara is 20!  Today I am looking back on the years, and you know what?  I have never regretted having pictures to remember.  Sure, I might have complained that the processing was expensive, but does that matter now?  Nope.  Digital photos cost nothing to cherish.  Digital photos are free to take, and use.  Digital photos mean taking LOTS of shots to increase your choice of finished pictures. With phones on cameras, computers, and more there is really no reason NOT to take those photos.  Even digital cameras can be purchased for less than $50 now and will last years and years.

From The UK to the USA

Every other year our family is blessed by the arrival of a very special group of people that we love...our visitors are my sister Katherine, her hubby Robert and their boys Hywel and Rhodri.  We are right in the middle of the country here in Minnesota and my sisters family lives in Wales, UK. 

They arrive with their accents in tow, excited and smiling for the few weeks they are here.  The kids have a sleepover and celebration of my nephews birthdays, since they miss out on having any family for theirs each time.  And the Brisse family does birthdays loud, and full of fun.

We get together to celebrate our family!  We love laughing, sharing stories, and creating memories.  It is just wonderful to see them when they visit...and hard to see them all go for another two years.  It is important to take lots of photos as we will not see them for a while again and our kids miss eachother of course.

Last year when they came for a visit, I decided to create a Storybook for the boys birthdays and send it to them.  Well, it is completed and ordered and I thought it would be fun to share some of the pages with you.  Todays page is the first few of many...the front cover and first two page spread featuring "American Football".  You see, Rhodri loves football and plays in Wales but that is Rugby over there.  Mikey, my son loves the game as well but is twice Rhodris size.  He is so playful with him though and Rhodri loves every bit of the attention spent on him.  Last summer, Mikey awarded the "game ball" to him and the smile lit up the room!

I cant wait to see the book in person and send it over to the UK. And I cant WAIT for them to come next year.  365 days to go!

Our graduate

Looks like our little boy is all ready for the world!  He had his last day of high school today, went off to work and is looking forward to graduating this Sunday evening.  I am SO happy that I took the time to get those pictures when the kids were little.  Money was tight, and there were months that would go by without developing those photos and when we did?  I might bring in ten or more rolls at a time!  It was worth it.

To remember the good times, and look forward to new ones with awesome memories someday in the future, there is really nothing like photos to stir those feelings.  Get back in the habit of grabbing the camera and snapping what you can.  Those pictures are just priceless to me now.  It woudl be hard to go back and try to get a photo of Mikey in a Barney backpack.  Recreating those days might be tough!  :)

I've missed you

I think its funny, how even though I do not know WHO reads my blogs...I still feel very connected to you.  The feedback I do receive has been so much fun , and learning about how determination can move mountains moves me as well:)  Thanks for all that you do!

This morning, I want to focus on the future.  Sure, looking back at past photos and memories can be wonderful but not for everyone.  There can be pain, loss, struggles and hardships, disconnect and more.  I want to respect the fact that not everyone has enjoyed the past and chooses to move on with a smile instead. I am introducing a new part of my business which I am calling "Celebrating the future".

Encouraging others is something I love to do , and with goals and dreams in place we can move on to those together.  Achievements, celebrations, events and more are just a start to how this idea of making more memories, NEW memories has come about. 

Ask yourself one simple question...what are you looking forward to remembering?  Might there be a new grandbaby coming soon?  A move to a first home?  Graduations?  How about summer family time?  It can be simple, such as baking cookies with a neighbor or gathering with friends for ice cream in  the summertime.  These ARE memories, they just have not happened yet.  But looking foward to them can be planning to remember!  Focusing on the future memories is powerful and can really enhance your days.  THESE are the  memories I would love to help you remember, not just the ones in the past.  Plan for future memories, and be ready to look back on them with wonderful thoughts! 

Take lots of pictures, and if you cant...grab someone to do that part for you!  Take everyday photos of the things in your life to remember.  And create memories each and every day!  Celebrate life.
